Deputy Director
As a member of the senior leadership team, the Deputy Director leads with a commitment to meditation practice and to creating a supportive and collaborative work environment. The Deputy Director holds the day to day operations of Karme Choling through connection and communication with leadership and department heads to support the work within and across departments. Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills are necessary for this position, as well as an established relationship with Shambhala and regular meditation practice. Head of Facilities
Supervises the maintenance and operations of Karmê Chöling buildings, vehicles and grounds, including a campground with 60 tent sites, hands on skills in these areas is required. Central aspects of this job is project/time management and ability to mentor and lead volunteers. Good communication, leadership skills, and knowledge of commonly used computer systems are necessary for this position. Minimum for 2 years experience in a similar position or project management, as well as broad experience in all aspects of facilities operations and management is required.  Experience as a trades-person is highly desired. Director of Development
Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director, the Development Director will spearhead development efforts as Karmê Chöling continues to grow. This includes leading the development team in creating and implementing the overall development strategy and fundraising plans, being at the forefront of development efforts to reach our targets, and developing a strategy for our capital campaign for housing and the Stupa. Works with staff to accomplish budget responsibilities, gift and record management, program fundraising, donor communication and appeals, and developing and maintaining donor & foundation relationships. Experience in development necessary, along with excellent organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
